The National Amateur Retriever Club (NARC) is an AKC National Club dedicated to preserving and advancing the highest level of retriever competition. Founded in 1957, the Club exists to promote excellence in retriever breeding, training, and field trial competition, while protecting the traditions and integrity of the game.
NARC is a true club of clubs, representing more than 150 affiliated retriever clubs across the United States. These member clubs form the backbone of the organization and collectively support the annual National Amateur Retriever Championship, held each June.
